Introduction
DPW B.V. is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all event participants and staff. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, DPW B.V. staff members, service providers, and all others are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct applies to all DPW B.V. event-related activities, including those sponsored by organisations other than DPW B.V. but held in conjunction with DPW B.V. events, in public or private facilities.
Expected Behaviour
Treat all participants with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views and opinions.
- Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.
- Communicate openly with respect for others, critiquing ideas rather than individuals.
- Avoid personal attacks directed toward other participants.
- Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert staff if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
- Respect the rules and policies of the meeting venue, hotels, DPW B.V. contracted facility, or any other venue.
Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable behaviours include, but are not limited to:
- Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct.
- Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
- Real or implied threat of professional or financial damage or harm.
- Violation of the privacy or confidentiality of participants, including sharing of private communication without consent.
- Reporting Unacceptable Behaviour
- If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please notify an event organiser as soon as possible. DPW B.V. has a reporting procedure in place to handle all complaints.
Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated whether by other attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organisers, venue staff, sponsors, or exhibitors. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without warning or refund and, if appropriate, involvement of local law enforcement.
Scope
We expect all event participants (staff, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this Code of Conduct in all venues at event-related social events.
